Clarence Russell Scott, known as "Scotty," passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
He was born June 30, 1922, third child born to the Rev. John R. and Christine Scott in Rankin, Pa.
Mr. Scott accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Washington. He joined the Army in 1941 and received a World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Scott retired from the Department of Commerce. Later he entered the private sector working for National Milk Production Federation.
He leaves to mourn two sisters, Virginia Thomas and Hazal Whitby; one brother, John Scott (Ruth); his daughter, Kimberly Taylor; one granddaughter, Erika Taylor; a friend, Santo Jones; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The service will be held at noon on Tuesday, at Henry Funeral Home, PA, in Cambridge. There will be a viewing held one hour prior to the service.
