Submitted photo/Talbot County Sheriff’s Office
Last weekend, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and its mission churches held the annual Blue Mass to thank all active and retired law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatchers, and corrections personnel, and the Oxford Coast Guard substation for their service. The Rev. James Nash blessed all present and recorded the blessing as part of our recorded mass for those attending remotely and those who could not attend. All those living and deceased were remembered with ribbons and candles in honor of each service, as well as with flowers placed at the MSP Fallen Heroes Memorial, MSP Canine Cemetery, and Talbot County’s Heroes’ Memorial. Deputy John Coleman blessed the congregants with a hymn at the end of Mass. May God bless all those who protect and serve, a statement from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office said.
