Ladies' Prayer Breakfast A reminder for the ladies to mark their calendar, December’s breakfast will be the Second Saturday, Dec. 8 (instead of the third Saturday) 8 a.m. at Grace UM Church, 501 Race St., Cambridge. Memorial Angel Tree On Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. a service of remembrance will be held at The Salvation Army, Cambridge. The public is invited. Angels will be on the tree with the names of loved ones who have passed honored. Music will be provided by pianist Laura Todd, harpist Betty Boda and violinist Dr. William Basir. Light refreshments will be served following the service. Deadline for angel submission is Nov. 25. Waugh Christmas Bazaar Waugh Chapel UM Church, High St., Cambridge, will hold its annual Chrismas Bazaar fom 7 a.m.to noon on Dec. 1. Buy a hot breakfast in the “Waugh Cafe” then shop for Christmas items at the flea market. Benefit lunch On Dec. 6, come out and help raise funds to pay the medical expenses incurred during the illness of Edgar “Dudley” Ruark. Pit Beef lunch “Catering By Jamie” at the corner of Route 50 and Maryland Avenue from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. Lunch is $8 and consists of pit beef sandwich, bag of chips and soda/water. All proceeds will go towards the medical bills. Sister to Sister Sister to Sister is a women’s ministry of the New Life Christian Church and Ministries. The ministry meets the 2nd Saturday of every month with a themed event for food, fellowship and/or prayer. There is no charge and all are welcome. Bring a friend and enjoy the fellowship.
