Mrs. Carol Ann Tolson peacefully transitioned from this life on Monday night, May 11, 2026 and graciously transcended to be with her Lord and Savior. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Carol Ann was born in Boston, MA to the late OJ Lindsey and her mother, Julia Lindsey. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, caring sister, and faithful friend. She will be remembered for her faith and devotion to God, her kindness, compassion, strength, and the love she freely shared with family and friends throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Gregory L. Tolson; her mother, Julia M. Lindsey; her brother, Philip J. Lindsey; her sister, Linda S. Jaeger; her nieces and nephews; PJ; Dara; Elijah and Zoe; her beloved aunts and uncles from South Carolina, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Arizona; her children, Andre and Sherron; her beloved sister-in laws; Delores (Joseph), Gloria, Patricia and Mary; her brothers-in-law; Nolan Jr., James, Steven (Andrea), David, Donald (Desiree), Richard, and Jonathan (Linda); grandkids and numerous cousins, family members and friends, that were touched by her warmth and presence. She also leaves behind special aunts, Aunt Shirley Kinard and Aunt Bernice Harmon and two special cousins, Gloria Perry and Debra Mathis.
Carol Ann’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, and her faith in God and spirit will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and legacy on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, located at the corner of Queen Street and 410 Fulton Street in Dover.
Viewing will be from 2-3pm, directly followed by funeral services at 3pm.
Burial will be on Monday, June 1, 2026, 10:00 am at the Veterans Cemetery 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
