Carol A. DeBerardinis, 78 SALISBURY - Carol Ann Dawson DeBerardinis died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at her home in Salisbury. Born in Cambridge, Mass., she was the daughter of William and Bette Dawson. Growing up in a U.S. Navy family, she lived in Annapolis, San Francisco, Bremerton and London. She received a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland in College Park. She taught kindergarten and 1st grade for nearly 30 years, before retiring from Bond Mill Elementary School in Laurel, Md., in June of 2000. She moved to Salisbury to be near family. She is survived by her sons, Jay and Jeff; four grandchildren; a brother, William; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John. A Celebration of Life will be held in Salisbury at a future date with private interment at East Thompson Cemetery in Thompson, Conn. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
