CAMBRIDGE — Annually, each of the nine Athletic Districts that comprise the State of Maryland vote to select an Athletic Director of the Year. This is an honor bestowed upon an Athletic Director by their peers. This year, Cambridge-South Dorchester High School’s own Dan Dobronz was selected as District VIII’s Athletic Director of the Year.
Mr. Dobronz is a graduate of Slippery Rock University and Salisbury University. He has been a Health and PE teacher for 12 years, and an Athletic Director for 5 years. In addition to a full class schedule and his Athletic Director duties, Mr. Dobronz is also a Football, Unified Fitness, and Baseball Coach. His tireless efforts to promote the academic and athletic success at C-SD make him an invaluable asset to the school and Dorchester County.
Mr. Dobronz will receive his District VIII Athletic Director of the year award this spring when he represents C-SDHS and District VIII at the Maryland State Athletic Directors Association Conference in Ocean City.
Mr. Dobronz should be commended for representing himself, C-SDHS, and Dorchester County with distinction. “Congratulations Dan Dobronz - District VII Athletic Director of the Year!” said Superintendent Dr. Henry V. Wagner Jr.
