The game extended the Vikings’ winning streak over the Trojans to 25 games, and gave C-SD a record of 3-1 overall on the season so far and 2-1 in the Bayside. Kent County is now 2-2. Tre’ Lake led the C-SD attack with five touchdowns, including a 90-yard return of the second-half kickoff. Lake rushed 31 times for a total of 230 yards. The Trojans’ quarterback Marcquan Greene had 103 yards on 16 runs of his own, and went 1-of-4 in the air for 9 yards. C-SD’s QB Tyler Harding was 2-for-5 for 29 yards and no picks. Greene also threw an interception late in the game. The play was broken up by Christian Brummell, who tipped the ball, which was then returned 99 yards for a score by Koby Jones. Greene got the visitors off to a fast start, running for two scores by the 5:27 mark of the second quarter. C-SD woke up, though, and following Lake’s first two TDs, both teams headed to their locker rooms at halftime with the score tied 14-14. Greene kept things close for the Trojans with a 6-yard run with 43 seconds left in the third quarter. C-SD took charge in the final period, though, with Lake’s fifth touchdown at the 8:50 mark and Jones’ 99-yard pick-6 putting things out of reach for the Kent County boys.
