BROOKVIEW — 30+ Barbie-type used dolls were donated recently from the North Dorchester second hand shoppe, Brookview Hope Home to Daddy’s Dolls. The dolls will be given a complete makeover, hair-dos & then dressed to impress, then bagged up with some related accessories and will be hand-delivered to local crisis-shelters in our area — so children that may be going through a tough situation, might find some joy!

All these doll tasks are masterfully done by doll aficionado, Erin Hottle of Preston. She conceived her own charity operation titled Daddy’s Dolls where used dolls are given make-overs to be made nearly new and then donated to various children in need and to children in hospitals, extended care facilities, etc.

To date, Daddy’s Dolls have happily donated nearly 200 dolls to children of all ages. Daddy’s Dolls is actively in-search-of any accessory related items like action-doll-clothing, lil brushes, etc. and gallon-size zip-loc-type-baggies, or gently used dolls.

"If you’re cleaning out, we’d love if you are able to share the love and provide some joy to local kids," a statement from the business said. "Feel free to drop off donations at Brookview Hope Home or contact Mrs. Hottle via her facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/daddysdolls1/."

Brookview Hope Home is located at 5618 Indiantown Road, Brookview and is a thrift shop that supports the community. The hours of the shop are thurs-fri-sat-9-2.
