Children’s Storytime featuring stories, crafts and songs takes place every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. – don’t miss our special Easter story time and egg hunt on April 5. Our Homeschool Book Club for ages 8-12 also meets Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. – we are currently reading “The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster.
Anime Club for ages 12-17 meets Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Join us for anime-related games, activities and crafts - snacks and prizes included!
Dorchester Discussions book club will meet in the Cambridge meeting room on Tuesday, April 25, at 6 p.m. to discuss “The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates” about two young men in the same city, at the same time, with the same name. One Wes Moore is currently serving life in prison; the other is serving as governor of Maryland. Copies of the book are available at the library.
In honor of National Jelly Bean Day, we’re hosting a month-long contest to Guess the Number of Jelly Beans. Stop at the information desk to make your guess. Need to de-stress? Spend some time at our jigsaw puzzle table in the periodicals section. Interested in local history? Check out our Women of Dorchester display across from the elevator on the second floor.
