Bernice Dulaney Daugherty, 103

CRISFIELD - Bernice Dulaney Daugherty, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, in Manokin Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Princess Anne, where she had been a resident for the past seven years. She was 103. Born in Crisfield on Feb. 16, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Thomas S. and Mary Moore Daugherty. She was the secretary for 25 years of the former Daugherty & Ward Grocery and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was Sunday School Teacher, Youth Counselor, sang in the Sanctuary Choir, and was active in the United Methodist Women. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service and burial was 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield. The Rev. Jeffrey James officiated. Friends called Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.bradshawandsonsfuneralhome.com.
