Bernard P. Snyder Sr., 81 WESTOVER, Md. - Bernard P. Snyder Sr., 81, of Westover, died Friday, July 2, 2010, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Bernard was born May 29, 1929, in Ottsville, Pa., to the late Raymond and Catherine Snyder. Bernard served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed racing dirt bikes with his brother, Kenny and playing baseball. He loved to hunt and crab and watching all different types of sports. He attended at Walker Memorial Church in Princess Anne. He is survived by a son, Bernard P. Snyder, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Westover; daughter, Betty May and her husband, Bibiano Bautista of PA; brothers, Kenny Snyder and his wife, Sue of PA, Vic Snyder and his wife, Ann of AK, Lowell Snyder and his wife, Bobbie of FL, Harry Snyder and his wife, Lorraine of FL; and a sister, Ruth Foley of PA; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Snyder in 2004; son, Kenny Snyder; brothers, Raymond, Jake and George; and sister, Dorothy Schiavone. The family would like to say thank you to Pastor Tim Shawyer for his continued support. A memorial service will be held at a later day. Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice at the Lake, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd. Salisbury, MD 21804.
