NECK DISTRICT — Beckwith United Methodist Church in the Neck District will be holding it’s 35th Annual Apple Festival on Oct. 18. The festival began at the Church in 1980 but because it became so large, in 1990 it was moved to the Neck District Volunteer Fire Company, Route 343, Hudson, 11 miles west of Cambridge.

Apple dumplings will be for sale for eating at the festival or frozen ones are available to take home and heat whenever you would like a taste of home. We will also be selling apple pies, homemade soups, chicken salad sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, apples, apple cider and fried oyster sandwiches by St. Paul’s Methodist Men.

There will also be a large outdoor flea market and crafts for sale starting around 7 a.m. Table space for the flea market can be rented for $15 but you must provide your own tables. Miniature horses will be on display.

Food Service starts at 9 a.m. Come early, festival usually ends by 1 p.m. Festival held rain or shine. For information or to rent table space call: 410-228-6916.

The Church also holds a Strawberry Festival on the Saturday before Memorial Day in May every year.
