CAMBRIDGE — On Sept. 16, deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s office responded to 2911 Ram Road, Cambridge. for a reported assault and robbery in progress. Upon arrival they located the female victim who had been assaulted and found her to have facial injuries in and around her eyes.
She advised that Joshua Edward Jorette, 29, had started an argument with her and had taken her phone and destroyed it and then proceeded to beat her in her face and head with his fists after the beating he attempted to take her purse and car keys.
Jorette was located in the area and arrested and charged with second degree assault, malicious destruction of property under $1,000, attempted robbery and reckless endangerment. He was ordered held without bond.
The victim was transported to DGH for treatment and received stitches for her injuries.
Cambridge police report
theft from vehicles
CAMBRIDGE — On Sept. 24 at approximately 5:10 a.m. Cambridge Police were called to the 2800 block of Persimmon Place in reference to a theft. Upon arrival officers met with the victim who advised that when they came out to their vehicle they noticed that things were out of place and the vehicle had been ransacked.
The victim advised that cash and credit cards were missing from within a wallet that was in the vehicle. Officers also found three other vehicles within the neighborhood had been ransacked.
A Cambridge P.D officer recalled seeing a subject that appeared suspicious buying items earlier in the morning at a nearby store and the officer noticed that the subject had credit cards that he was using. Further investigation revealed that the subject using the credit cards in the store was the same subject that entered the vehicles in the 2800 block of Persimmon Place.
An arrest warrant was then obtained on Daniel I. Rhock-White, 27, of Bel Air. Cambridge Police served the arrest warrant which charged Rhock-White with a total of nine charges that included theft and rogue and vagabond. Rhock-White is currently being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center on no bond.

CAMBRIDGE — On Sept. 27, members of the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force, which consists of Detectives from the Maryland State Police, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Police Department, Hurlock Police Department and the Dorchester County State’s Attorney’s Office executed a Search & Seizure Warrant at 589 Greenwood Ave., Cambridge.
The target of the investigation Issac Tyrone Jones, 34 of 750 Cornish Ave., Cambridge. and Ernest Darnell Ennals, 31 of the Greenwood Avenue address were both located inside of the residence.
The search of the residence revealed 198 grams of powdered cocaine, 13 grams of crack cocaine, 190 pills of unknown composition, 4 digital scales in working order, numerous cell phones and $1,997 in U.S. Currency. These items were seized as evidence.
Jones was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of possession of cocaine and five counts of possession of paraphernalia, he was held without bond.
Ennals was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of possession of cocaine and five counts of possession of paraphernalia, he was also ordered held without bond.
