Annabel Johnson

SALISBURY -- Annabel R. Johnson, 87, of Salisbury, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at Deer's Head Hospital Center. Born in Clara, she was the daughter of the late Newman Maxwell Robertson and Edna Nichols Robertson. She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was past president of the United Methodist Women. She attended Salisbury State Teacher's College and occasionally substituted teaching at Fruitland Elementary School. She spent most of her working life working the family farm with her late husband. She took great pride in and enjoyed working with her son in his business, Eastern Shore Forest Products, for many years. She is survived by two children, Tom Johnson and Elizabeth "Betsy" Bradford, all of Salisbury; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Elmer Thomas Johnson Sr. in 2004; and two brothers, Randall and Maxwell Robertson. A funeral service was held on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment followed at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
