Ann D. "Timmie" Haller
CAMBRIDGE - Ann D. "Timmie" Haller, 84, died Monday night, Aug. 6, 2007, at The Pines, Transitional Care Unit, Easton.
Born on Jan. 4, 1923, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Ralph G. Dauer and Eunice R. Dauer.
In 1948 she married William S. Haller. Mr. Haller died on Oct. 21, 1972.
Mrs. Haller had worked years ago at P&LE Railroad, (Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad).
The Haller family moved from Murrysville, Pa., in June 1972. Mrs. Haller was an avid football fan and in particular for Notre Dame.
While residing in Murrysville, she was a member of the Garden Club. Mrs. Haller was a member of the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary for several years, as well as the Cambridge Country Club.
Mrs. Haller enjoyed being with her family and going to the beach.
Surviving is a daughter, Anne Sillaman and her husband, Ron of Riva; her three sons, William S. Haller Jr. and his wife, Mary of Germantown, Frederick R. Haller and his wife, Sally N. of Williamsburg, Va., and John H. Haller of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Daniel Woods Haller, Morgan Elizabeth Haller, Kathryn Alexandra Haller and Jennifer Ann Haller, all of Cambridge; and a number of friends.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents and husband, was her son, CSM Roger W. Haller; a brother, Ralph G. (Brud) Dauer Jr.; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Haller and grandson, Gregory Haller.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Stewart. Burial will be held on Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Mount Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, Pa.
Pallbearers will be William Haller Jr., Frederick Haller, John Haller, Mark Barnes, Eddie Collison, Daniel Haller and Zeb Barlow.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy may be made by sending flowers or making memorial donations in Mrs. Haller"s memory to the American Cancer Society, c/o Doris Weber, 5163 Maple Dam Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to The Pines, Transitional Care Unit, 610 Dutchman"s Lane, Easton, MD 21601.
