SALISBURY - Albert Duah Odoom a longtime resident of Salisbury, died Aug. 13, 2018, after a short illness. He was born on April 18, 1948, to Edward Albert Odoom and Elizabeth Sanwaa in Ajumako-Beaease in the Central Region of Ghana, Africa. He completed high school at Asamankese Secondary School and then pursued a higher education at the Institute of Professional Studies in Accra, Ghana, where he obtained a diploma in accounting. He worked as business manager for Carl Plotner, an international road construction company, and later for Allegemeine Bau-Union GmBH, also as a business manager. He moved to the United States in 1992 and settled in Salisbury. He worked as a manager at Denny's Restaurant in Ocean City and later as a manager at the McDonald's Restaurant in Salisbury. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; daughters, Jennifer, Mavis, Silvia and Coraine; sons, Dan, Edward, Bernard, Klaus, Manfred and Eric; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
