Addie Mae Tutt Cromwell, 76 CAMBRIDGE - Addie Mae Tutt Cromwell, 76, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Ashville, NC, one of nine children of the late Joseph and Mary Siebert Tutt. In 1953, she married and moved to Cambridge with her husband, Quentin Cromwell. From that union of love a son, Russell I. Cromwell Sr., was born. Addie worked and retired from Coldwater Seafood after 35 years of service. She was a former member of Progressive Temple 224, Order of the Elks and an active member of New Revelations Baptist Church for many years. Those left to cherish her memory is her son, Russell I. Cromwell (Rita), Cambridge; two grandchildren, Russell I. Cromwell Jr. (Comfort), Falls River, Mass. and Linnea Cromwell (Alexandria, Va.); four great-grandchildren; a brother, Isaiah Tutt (Ashville, NC); a sister, Jessie Tutt (Ashville, NC) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Bethel AME Church, 623 Pine St., Cambridge, with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Henry Funeral Home, PA in Cambridge is handling the arrangements.
