Evelyn L. Phillips died on Monday, January 6, 2025.
“Evie” was born on Aug. 12, 1939 in Ridley Park, PA, daughter of the late Douglas H. and Florence A. Still Colhoun.
Evie retired from Delaware Trust Operation Center, Bellefonte, DE in 1990. Before that she was a homemaker and volunteered for the Mount Pleasant School District and Alfred I. DuPont.
Evie liked to read, write, travel and talk with friends.
Predeceased by her husband James F., both her sons, James N. and Douglas “Chuck” Phillips, her brother, James Colhoun and her sister, Kathleen K. Amalfitano.
She is survived by numerous nieces & nephews as well as a grand niece & nephews, including an exceptional niece, Kathy Amalfitano and her children, Paul and Kaitlin. Also an exceptional nephew and his wife, Mike & Angie Ellsworth and their children, Brian & Katie.
A viewing will be held on the evening of Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5-7pm at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E Lebanon Rd.
A service will be at Christ Church, 523 S State St., the following day at 10am followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
