CRISFIELD — Starting on Wednesday, April 3 and continuing every Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. everyone is invited to come to Janes Island State Park and be part of the park’s new Walking Club.
The kick off celebrates National Walking Day as participants meet at the camper registration parking lot for what is hoped to become a weekly activity at the park to stay active and connect with people.
Janes Island State Park is located at the end of Alfred J. Lawson Drive just a short distance from Jacksonville Road. It is a beautiful, serene and safe area to walk but wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Call 410-968-1565 for more details.
If you can’t make it then, there is the monthly birding walk with volunteers with the Maryland Ornithological Society, with the next one Wednesday, March 27 at 9 a.m.
