DSP: Seaford man found dead near car fire

SEAFORD — A 54-year-old Seaford man was found dead in a ditch after troopers arrived to find a nearby vehicle engulfed in flames Wednesday, Delaware State Police said.

The Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred on a property in the 10000 block of Airport Road, spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said. Troopers were called to the scene at 6:50 a.m.

The victim’s body was turned over to the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy. His name is being withheld pending notification of kin, DSP said.
