Felton bicyclist dies when struck by vehicle

FELTON — A 57-year-old Felton man died when struck by a vehicle while operating a bicycle Friday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that for reasons under investigation the bicyclist did not stop at a stop sign on Logan Road approaching Willow Grove Road and was hit.

The man died at the scene. Delaware State Police identified him as Robert Spenver Jr. on Monday.

Police said the vehicle driver was uninjured.

The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway.
