County emergency planning to get cybersecurity update

GEORGETOWN — Trevor Cantwell of the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is scheduled to provide an update on the cybersecurity and infrastructure partnerships with state agencies on Thursday as part of the local emergency planning committee meeting.

CISA is the agency responsible for overseeing the country’s critical infrastructure points like roads, and cyber security measures.

The next local emergency planning committee meeting is scheduled for July 11.
