MIDDLETOWN — Construction of the entrances to state roads, as well as associated road improvements, pedestrian improvements and signing and striping for the Poole property’s commercial development, began Monday, the Department of Transportation announced.

The entrances to the location will be constructed on eastbound Del. 299 and Middletown Warwick Road south, adjacent to Exit 2 on U.S. 301.

While work is weather-dependent, it is expected to be complete in September. The department advises motorists to use caution and expect minor delays.
