This week’s 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury, with artists and crafters lining the streets, live music outside, and tons of special activities.

This month’s theme is “Hello Spring,” and it’s a chance to celebrate the warming weather, new growth, and outdoor gatherings.

There will be flower planting crafts for kids, baby animals and pony rides with Funny Farm Petting Zoo, art shows, artist mixers and more.

On Main Street, 3rd Friday will be back outside with artists, crafters and cottage food bakers lining the streets.

Enjoy the funky fresh stylings of Permilla Project live on the North Division Street stage while you explore the special displays and artists' demos.

Pet baby animals with Funny Farm Petting Zoo or enjoy pony rides for an extra charge.  Plus, kids can learn about herbs and make their own flower planting with SU Honors College students.  Feeling lucky? Stop by the Big Brothers Big Sisters table on the Plaza, to learn more about Bigs Bingo going on inside during 3rd Friday.

Salisbury Art Space will be hosting the opening reception for the all-new exhibition New Beginnings that celebrates spring as a time for renewal and rebirth.

The exhibition includes works in all mediums from local area artists, with winners announced during the reception. Salisbury Art Space is located on the lowest level of the Salisbury University Building.

On your way there, stop in SU’s Dave and Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship and spin the wheel of opportunity for a chance to make custom buttons and t-shirts in the maker space, win gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses, or play cornhole and learn how the Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship can help expand your creativity and help you win your share of $200,000 with the Shore Hatchery Competition.

Downtown Salisbury’s businesses are ready for 3rd Friday with special events.

Lurking Class Skate Shop is hosting a Skate Deck Art Show and Paint-A-Tile fundraiser in support of Phase 3 of the Salisbury Skatepark, complete with special edition T-shirts by Marc Edmond.

The MudHud is hosting an Artist Mixer from 6 to 8:30 p.m., where artists from all backgrounds can mingle, enjoy refreshments and live music from Marlee.

Blackwater Apothecary is celebrating its one-year Anniversary during 3rd Friday, and Lilac Clothing Co. is offering a free gift with purchases over $100 all day long.

Plus, Revival will be hosting “Lurking for Love with Magnolia Applebottom,” a brand-new cabaret experience with the drag star of Rehoboth Beach.

3rd Friday is a Downtown economic development initiative and a project of the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, in partnership with the city of Salisbury. There is no charge for artists to participate, but advance registration is required. For more information: 3rdFridaySby.com.
