Pork chop dinner set for Friday at Delmar VFW

The public is invited to a Drive-Thru Grilled Pork Chop Dinner on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Delmar VFW Post, located at 200 West State St.
Dinner includes a large savory charcoal grilled pork chop that has marinated for 24 hours, homemade succotash, and a large seasoned baked potato. The cost is $13.
Proceeds benefit the many local charities and organizations supported by the Delmar VFW.

SU Feature Friday concerts set  Downtown

Salisbury University faculty and staff display their musical talents throughout the fall semester during Feature Friday concerts in Downtown Salisbury.
Performances this semester are:
•Sept. 3 — Chris English (Music, Theatre and Dance)
•Oct. 8 — Red Letter Day, featuring Suzanna Mallow (Event Technical Services), Colleen Clark (Music, Theatre and Dance), and alumnae Andrea Jones and Becca Doughty
•Nov. 12 — Matt Michaud (Music, Theatre and Dance)
•Dec. 10 — David Raizen (Information Technology) and Jerry Atkins.
All performances are free and held from 6 to 7 p.m. at The Brick Room, 116 North Division St.
Attendees must be 21 years of age and over.

MAC Inc. has Jolly Roger tickets available now

Celebrate summer with discounted pass cards for MAC’s Weekend Summer Fun Days at Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City.
The passes can be used at Ocean City’s Jolly Roger Amusement Park on any Saturday or Sunday now through Aug. 29 and are good for:
•Splash Mountain Water Park, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Miniature Golf, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Amusement rides, 2 to 6 p.m.
Pass cards are $35 each. Children age 2 and under are admitted free.
Proceeds will benefit MAC’s health and wellness programs.
Concessions will be on sale; visitors also can bring their own food and drink.

UMES will host Ag Showcase this Wednesday

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Extension, in partnership with Atlantic Tractor, is hosting an Ag Showcase at the UMES Research and Education Farm on Stewart Neck Road on Wednesday, Aug. 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The showcase is the inaugural event between the two organizations, both interested in the success of the Eastern Shore farmer.

Vendors are sought for P. Anne craft fairs

Princess Anne organizers Lara Nagle and Dee Savarese are seeking vendors for a series of craft fairs scheduled through the end of the year.
The Clever Crafters Princess Anne Craft Show will be held the second Saturday of every month: Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.
The events will be held outdoors, in the Main Street District.
A 10-by-10-foot space will be provided for each vendor.
