Teletones to perform at this Friday Night Live in Salisbury

Posted

The Friday Night Live Concert Series at Downtown Salisbury’s Riverwalk Amphitheater continues this Friday with The Teletones.

The Teletones are an all-star group of veteran Delaware-based musicians who joined forces in 2009 to create their own unique gumbo of soulful, funky blues music.

The band combines the toneful stylings of guitarist Joe LaSorte, the bluesy growl of guitarist Lin Doughten, and the funky punch of Johnny Hedges’ bass over Michael “Spike” Bryant’s solid in-the-pocket drum groove to deliver a no-nonsense, get-out-on-the-dance floor fun machine.

The concert will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. and is free to attend -- just bring your own lawn chair.

Local food trucks Sandy’s Doggone Good Eats and Sessa’s Ice Cream will be on site offering both sweet and savory snacks, or carry-out from one of Downtown Salisbury’s fabulous restaurants. Beer and wine will be available for sale.

Parking is available in the Downtown Salisbury parking garage or in the city’s parking lots located just north of the river, all free after 5 p.m. on Fridays.

“We are so excited to bring this live music series back to Downtown Salisbury,” said Executive Director Jamie Heater. “We could all use some sunshine, great music and a chance to see friends in an open-air environment.”
