SWED to open applications for marketing and recovery grants

Posted

Beginning Thursday, Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development will offer four new Marketing and Recovery Grant Fund programs for area businesses and nonprofits.

Funded by the state of Maryland, new programs target restaurants, hotels, nonprofits and certain businesses wishing to establish or enhance online sales platforms.

Funds for restaurants, hotels and the online sales initiative open today, Thursday, and close Thursday, April 29, at 4 p.m.

SWED’s Nonprofit Marketing and Recovery Grant Fund has a targeted opening of May 3.

The primary use of these funds is for marketing and advertising purposes as businesses and nonprofits continue to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

More information and applications can be found at swed.org.

Beginning in early summer 2020 and with funding from the Coronavirus Relief Fund and the state, SWED has deployed in excess of $12.8 million for small businesses in Wicomico County to help mitigate the economic impact Covid-19 has had on our community.
