Players for the Harlem Wizards -- regarded as the most interactive and fun basketball team in the world – are coming to Parkside High School in Salisbury.
The team will play Sunday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. at the school on Beaglin Park Drive.
The Wizards will play a game against a team of local celebrities – including teachers, students and community leaders. This event is hosted by the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club.
All of the net proceeds from the game will benefit Sunrise Rotary projects in the community, including scholarships for high school students and programs supporting children and those in need. Additionally, a portion of all ticket sales and concession stand proceeds will benefit Wicomico County schools.
The Harlem Wizards have a unique mission: Deliver world-class, family-friendly entertainment while raising money for great causes.
Throughout a Harlem Wizards game, fans will experience a magical display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing, and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience participation.
The event will feature a variety of interactive extras to complement the Wizards’ dazzling demonstration of hoops artistry: contests, comedy, awesome slam dunks and merchandise giveaways.
Founded in 1962, the Wizards have played over 15,000 games throughout the United States that have raised over $25 million for schools and charitable causes.
