PRINCESS ANNE — After much hard work Positive Reinforcement Inc. is ready to hold its grand opening noon Monday, Sept. 20, at its office 30260 Mt. Vernon Road, next to Spike’s Pub in the Mt. Vernon Place center.

Positive Reinforcement Inc. is a nonprofit community-based resource program offering support services to formerly incarcerated individuals so they can successfully reintegrate into the community.

Each year more than 600,000 men and women are released from prison, and they have many obstacles to reentry. A disproportionate number return to prison despite their claims of never returning.

Positive Reinforcements works to reduce recidivism and help these former inmates by matching them with resources that will empower them to be successful, productive, law-abiding citizens.

Services include case management, mentorship, anger management, employment readiness, budgeting and money management training and parenting classes.
