Downtown Salisbury garage to offer free parking during Flowbird transition

Salisbury will offer free parking at the Downtown Salisbury Parking Garage from Monday, Aug. 28, through Friday, Sept. 1 while the city converts to a new automated parking system.

An extension of the Flowbird parking system already in place Downtown, the automated parking system is designed to streamline parking operations, improve efficiency, and reduce congestion.

To implement the new technology, new payment kiosks will be installed. As a result, the Downtown Salisbury Parking Garage will be providing complimentary parking for one week.

“We understand that construction work can pose temporary inconveniences, and we greatly appreciate the patience and understanding of our community during this time,” said Mike Dryden of the Downtown Salisbury Parking Administration. “By offering free parking during the construction of the Flowbird automated system, we aim to show our gratitude for the ongoing support of our residents and visitors.”

The Downtown Salisbury Parking Garage, located at 100-110 Circle Ave., will be open for 24-hour access.
