This week’s 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury is the perfect excuse to get bundled up and head out for a night Downtown.
This month's event is hosted indoors only -- so that means no artists and crafters outside on the street -- but there is still tons to do and see inside.
From shops and galleries, to restaurants and live entertainment, there is always something for everyone to enjoy.
Salisbury Art Space will be hosting the opening reception for an all new 2022 Members Exhibition, open to all Salisbury Art Space members and all mediums.
Stop by and enjoy a wide range of works and styles, and see what Salisbury’s local artists have to offer.
Salisbury Art Space’s gift shop will also be open until 7 p.m., with locally handmade items for sale handcrafted by local artists on consignment. Salisbury Art Space is located on the lowest level of the Salisbury University Building.
Shoppers can ring in the New Year with the all new MYSby calendar now 50 percent off, just stop by the Downtown Salisbury Visitor Center or shop online with promo code NEWYEAR.
Lilac Clothing Co. is also spreading joy, with a free gift with all purchases over $50 on 3rd Friday, plus customers can save an additional 10 percent on their purchase simply by showing a receipt from another Downtown business.
Stop by Blackwater Apothecary for a night of shopping and fun with “B*itch Crafts” hosted by Vidalia Goods from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tickets are only $15, which includes all of the supplies needed to make a set of three seasonal fire starters, with assorted seasonal items to invite a lovely smell, that are great for lighting hearth fires as we settle into the winter season.
Looking for live entertainment? Check out Brew River Restaurant and Bar from 7 to 11 p.m. for live music, with Best Kept Soul, one of the area's top performing groups specializing in Rhythm and Blues, Gospel, Jazz Funk, Hip Hop and Rock favorites.
Revival, Downtown Salisbury’s all new entertainment venue, will be hosting the Mona Lotts Drag Show, a special event celebrating the art of drag complete with comedy, costumes, glamour and fun, with your hostess Mona Lotts and her cast of world-class female impersonators from right here in Delmarva.
Tickets are only $20 and are available online or at the door.
Concerned about social distancing? – not to worry: 3rd Friday’s virtual event will continue to share event and community highlights for those who choose to stay at home.
Facemasks aren’t required in some shops, but could be required in others, so bring one just in case.
3rd Friday is a Downtown economic development initiative and a project of the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, in partnership with the city of Salisbury. For more information: 3rdfridaysby.com.
