Allen Asbury drive-thru Spring Bazaar scheduled March 27

Posted

Delicious homemade chicken salad, soups, oyster sandwiches and baked goods are on the menu for the Drive-Thru Spring Bazaar of Allen Asbury United Methodist Church in Allen on Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Allen Community Hall on Collins Wharf Road in Allen.

The church’s popular chicken salad and savory soups (Vegetable Beef Soup, Bean Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup) will be available by quart or pint for take-out.

Pre-orders for chicken salad and soup are now being taken on Facebook (Asbury-Allen UMC) or by calling 410-546-2043.

Please pre-order by Friday, March 26, and give a preferred pickup time so helpers can have your order ready.

Only a limited amount of soup and chicken salad will be available for purchase without pre-order. Oyster sandwiches will be sold at the drive-thru window and do not have to be pre-ordered.

Also available at the Spring Bazaar, inside the Allen Community Hall: homemade baked goods including Maryland beaten biscuits, pies, cakes and other treats. A new selection of books will be available inside the building.

There will be a limited number of indoor shoppers at a time, with social distancing and gloves provided for book browsing. Weather permitting, there will be vendors outside, too.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the church’s outreach to the Christian Shelter and HALO in Salisbury. For information please call 410-546-2043.
