HARRINGTON — Three males were arrested following an investigation into a shooting incident on Monday, Harrington police spokesman Capt. Earl K. Brode said.

According to authorities, two unknown people emerged from a vehicle and fired multiple shots at a residence on Mill Street. Law enforcement officers were called to the scene at approximately 10 a.m., Capt. Brode said.

Seven persons, both adults and juveniles, were inside the residence and no injuries were reported, Capt. Brode said.

Bridgeville residents Jordan Young, 21, and Daveon Young, 17, were determined to be persons of interest during an ensuing investigation and taken into custody without incident at a residence in Bridgeville, police said. Police said three firearms were located during a search of the residence.

Police also identified Jaquan D. Burton, 21, of Millsboro as a person of interest, Capt. Brode said. He was taken into custody at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, where he was being treated for an unknown medical issue, according to police. Mr. Burton was transported to the Harrington Police Department after receiving medical treatment, Capt. Brode said.

Mr. Young was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited (three counts), receiving a stolen firearm, and second-degree conspiracy. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $95,000 cash only bond on the criminal charges and $5,000 cash-only bond for a violation of probation administrative warrant.

Mr. Burton and the Showell teen were both charged with first-degree reckless endangering (seven counts), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and second-degree conspiracy.

The Showell teen was committed to the Stevenson House Juvenile Detention Facility in Milford in default of $15,000 secured bond.

Mr. Burton was committed to SCI in default of $79,000 cash-only bond on the criminal charges. He was also out on bond for previous drug charges and his bond was revoked. He is currently being held without bond on those charges, police said.
