Suspect sought in Rehoboth Beach business burglary

REHOBOTH BEACH — A suspect was sought after a Sunday morning burglary at the Sunglass Hut in the Midway Tanger Outlets.

Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said troopers were dispatched to the Sunglass Hut at 34986 Midway Outlet Drive at approximately 10 a.m. for a reported burglary.

The investigation determined during the overnight hours, the unknown suspect forced entry into the business. Once inside, the suspect removed most of the store’s inventory of sunglasses and an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing, police said.

Police described the suspect as a male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, baseball hat, dark-colored face covering and dark-colored gloves. The suspect was possibly traveling in a Chrysler Town and Country minivan with another unknown male.
