Speak Up: Game store owner lives up to business’s name

Clad in his iconic Superman T-shirt, James Jerman provided the stereotypical look one would expect from a man who owns a gaming and comic book shop.  Mr. Jerman has owned Born to Game on the south end of a shopping center at 547 S. Red Haven Lane, behind Piazza Mia Italian Bar & Grill in south Dover, for the past six years.

  • Worth mentioning, as well, is miniature war-gaming. We have a bunch of people come in and play all sorts of war games, most popular of which is Warhammer 40,000, a science fantasy-based war game that’s been played for nearly three-and-a-half decades. There’s also World War II and Star Wars war-gaming going on, as well as role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. 90% of Delaware hospitalizations not fully vaccinated

Ninety percent of Delaware’s recent COVID-19 hospitalizations occurred in individuals who were not fully vaccinated. For the week of Aug. 30 to Sept. 5, the most recent available data, 120 of the 133 new hospitalizations (90%) were of those who were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, according to statistics via the Delaware Division of Public Health.

  • Getting the virus is causing death. Surviving it gives you a measure of immunity, but if you won’t survive it or if you have underlying conditions, you should get vaccinated. — Pete Schonert
