Speak Up: Child tax credit at work in Delaware, continued

More than 100,000 families in Delaware will get checks in July, as the federal government doles out child tax credit monies. That will invest more than $42 million to help 169,000 children in the First State, according to the White House, which issued fact sheets for every state as payments have begun rolling into bank accounts.

I also enjoyed watching as hostages returned home from various places, as well as the remains from North Korea. I enjoyed low-cost gas and being energy-independent. - It’s like people complaining about mortgage interest deductions they can’t take and paying property tax for schools when they don’t have kids. There’s lots of things that don’t apply to us in the tax code and lots of things that won’t change anytime soon or benefit us but are good for others (i.e.: schools) Move on. - It’s a credit. You know how that works? I get back money I already paid in to. The only difference from what the credit is now is that families will now get it monthly rather than a lump sum at the end of the year. They aren’t getting both. — Frank Williamson
