LEWES — The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) will present “Black Poetry: from Black Love to Black Lives Matter,” at a town hall meeting on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m., via Zoom.
The program features poetry readings by local residents as well as videos of renowned poets reading their own selections.
Headliners are Amanda Gorman, reading “The Hill We Climb,” and H.E.R., 2021 Grammy Award Winner for Song of the Year “I Can’t Breathe.”
Rounding out the evening program, readings include poems by Tupac Shakur, Common, Nikki Giovanni, Maya Angelou, Gil Scott-Herron, Delaware’s Own Twin Poets, Ntozake Shange, and Delaware MLK Poetry contest winners Naomi Scott and Neha Das.
