DOVER — State officials revealed three new prizes for Delaware’s COVID-19 vaccine incentive program on Thursday — two scholarships from Wilmington University and tickets to every show at The Grand in Wilmington during the 2021-2022 season.

The Grand’s All Access Pass winner will receive two seats to every “Grand Presents” and “Broadway in Wilmington performance” held from September 2021 to July 2022 at The Grand, the Baby Grand and The Playhouse on Rodney Square.

Wilmington University will award a full undergraduate scholarship and a full graduate scholarship as part of the raffle. Both scholarships will include tuition and fees, according to the state.

Recipients of the Vaccination Incentive Program scholarship at Wilmington University who are between the ages of 12 through senior year in high school must use the scholarship no later than one year after graduating from high school, per the state.

High school graduates ages 18 and over must utilize the scholarship within two years of receiving the award. Tuition must not exceed the total number of credits required for graduation in one degree program. Recipients must meet all of the university’s entrance requirements at the time of admission.

As of Wednesday, 67.6% of Delaware adults had received at least one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since this percentage comes from the CDC, it includes vaccinations at such locations as the Department of Veterans Affairs and Dover Air Force Base, which do not report their numbers to the Delaware Division of Public Health, and Delawareans who have been vaccinated in other states.

“We are getting closer to our goal of having 70 percent of Delaware adults vaccinated with at least one dose by July 4,” said Gov. John Carney in a statement. “To make that final push, we are adding new prizes to the DE Wins raffle. All of these prizes celebrate places that people love in our state, and experiences you can get back to safely once you’re vaccinated.”

The DE Wins! Vaccine Incentive Program runs through June 29. Winners for the grand prizes of $302,000 and two low-digit license plates will be drawn on June 30.

More events for bookmobile

The Kent County Public Library bookmobile “Linus” has six more COVID-19 vaccination events planned for the rest of the summer.

The first event will be Saturday at Holy Trinity Church in Dover, located at the intersection of Kirkwood and Division streets. It will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. No appointments are necessary.

Other bookmobile clinics are Thursday, June 17 at the Milford Boys and Girls Club (10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.), Friday. June 18 at the Dover Boys and Club and Kent County Recreation Center (2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.), Thursday, June 23 at Concerts on the Green in Dover (6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.), Friday, June 25 at the Dover Boys and Club and Kent County Recreation Center (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and Thursday, July 29 at the Concerts on the Green in Dover (6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.)
