REHOBOTH BEACH — On Tuesday, Rehoboth Beach police said that, based on follow-up information, two females, ages 14 and 15, involved in an incident inside Funland on Sunday were not struck with debris but rather suffered injuries related to the environmental conditions created by a ride’s air tank failure.

A 16-year-male suffered a serious head injury and remained hospitalized Tuesday, also as a result of conditions, including flying debris, created by the tank’s failure.

The incident occurred in the area of the SuperFlip 360 ride.
