Envision Frankford’s Christmas in the Park/Tree Lighting event was held Saturday night. Music was provided by Indian River High School’s Tri-M choir and band members, and folks from the Frankford Public Library.
The giant Christmas tree that stands in the park was made possible by a generous donation Chesapeake Plumbing and Heating of Frankford – one of the many supporters of Envision Frankford, whose mission is to provide free events for the community throughout the year.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus arrived at the park via a Frankford Volunteer Fire Company engine tanker.
Weekly visits with Santa will be held four Wednesdays (Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Santa’s House in the park.
