MILLSBORO — The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating two fires determined to be arson that damaged separate unoccupied dwellings Wednesday and Thursday, authorities said.

The structures were adjacent to each other in the 32000 block of Oak Orchard Road, spokesman Chief Deputy John Galaska said. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Co. arrived on the scene and was able to quickly extinguish both fires. Mutual-aid fire companies assisted at the scene.

Chief Deputy Galaska said the fires were found to be accompanied by other criminal mischief at the location.

Damages from the incidents is estimated at $200.

Previous fires determined to be intentionally started at one of the structures took place March 17 and April 10, with damage estimated at $50,000, Chief Deputy Galaska said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the fire marshal’s Sussex Division at 856-5600 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
