MILLSBORO — George & Lynch Inc., a contractor for the Delaware Department of Transportation, will begin making improvements to the intersection at Del. 24/Millsboro Highway at U.S. 113 on Sunday, March 28.

The project will include the installation of drainage pipes, construction of a southbound right-turn lane, milling, paving, and striping. The purpose of the improvements should improve traffic operations and safety at the intersection.

The construction work, which is expected to last until mid-June, will take place from Sundays at 7 p.m. until Fridays at 6 a.m. Motorists can expect eastbound lane shifts at the intersection. Trucks will be diverted eastbound onto Delaware Avenue.

Businesses will remain open to the public throughout construction.
