Milford seeks volunteers for adjustment board, planning commission

Posted

MILFORD — The city of Milford is seeking volunteers to join its board of adjustment and planning commission.

Both the board of adjustment and planning commission are comprised of Milford residents recommended by the mayor and confirmed by a majority of city council.

The board of adjustments reviews all variance applications as well as certain appeals.

Meetings are held in City Hall council chambers at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

The planning commission reviews all land-use applications for compliance with the zoning and subdivision ordinances. Except for site plan applications, the commission will recommend approval or denial of a land-use application to the city council, who then makes a final decision.

Meetings are held in City Hall council chambers at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month.

Experience in land use is preferred for both. Interested residents can apply here.
