Milford High Seniors bring home leadership awards

MILFORD — Milford Senior High School Seniors Matthew Stangl and Allison Benton took home awards in the 2021 Delaware HOSA-Future Health Professionals Leadership Conference.

Matt won a gold medal in the Pathophysiology competition and Allison won bronze in the Medical Math competition.

They will prepare for the virtual national competition to be held June 23-26, 2021. After graduation, Matt will attend the University of Delaware to study molecular biology and Allison will attend Wake Forest for pre-med.

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a student organization that helps build leadership skills and identifies community service opportunities.

The health sciences programs at Milford High School are currently seeking community partners interested in hosting students for work-based learning experiences for the 2021-2022 school year. Contact lmcmillan@msd.k12.de.us or lvann@msd.k12.de.us with questions or interest in the programs.
