MILFORD - The monthly Milford Conversations meeting will focus on the Delaware State News' new Civility Project.

The meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Milford, at 101 S. Walnut St.

The speaker will be Darel La Prade, publisher of the Delaware State News. Mr. La Prade will share information regarding the new Civility Project initiated by the news organization.

“Free speech with civility has been essential to our mission for years and we know how important it is to a healthy Democracy. We will welcome advocates who will embrace our Civility Checklist and adopt our pledge and encourage others to do the same,” said Andy West, executive editor.

Milford Conversations is open to all interested community leaders in Milford, including those representing business, civic, nonprofit, environmental, arts, education, health, government—all sectors of community life.

Speakers vary and opportunity is given at each meeting for participants to announce upcoming events or points of interest in the organizations they represent. The meeting will be held in the church’s fellowship hall. Entry through the back door, off of Pearl Street, is recommended.
