Man struck multiple times in Seaford shooting

SEAFORD — A 33-year-old man was struck multiple times by gunfire while driving southbound on U.S. 13, north of Concord Road Friday morning, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.

Police said the man heard gunshots at approximately 8 a m. and was struck on his right side before he fled the area and drove himself to a nearby hospital. He was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information available, police said. Authorities asked anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has suspect information to contact Detective D. Hickman, with the Troop 4 Criminal Investigative Unit, by calling 752-3856. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or online.
