Your news article on Danish company Ørsted said that the company is planning a second wind farm for the Maryland/Delaware offshore area (“Ørsted describes wind farm proposal off Delaware coast,” July 21).

This summer’s fires, floods and droughts have shown us that our climate is in real trouble. If ever we needed a reason to increase our clean energy, these catastrophes have taught us that lesson.

Clean energy will improve the health of our most vulnerable citizens and create good jobs in the process.

One good way to promote more clean energy is for our nation’s leaders to put a price on carbon and rebate the fees on polluting power to the people as “cash back.”
