GREENWOOD — The Greenwood High School Alumni Association presented seven $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school students continuing their college education.

Recipients include:

• Timothy N. Gardner: the Stanley Thompson, Class of 1945, scholarship. Tim is the grandson of Bobby (class of 1963) and Sylvia Vincent Wright (class of 1964). He graduated from Lake Forest High School and will be attending Delaware Technical Community College.
•  Claudia K. Henry: the Robert Graham, Class of 1947, scholarship. Claudia is the granddaughter of Brenda Cain Henry (class of 1965) and David Henry (class of 1965). She graduated from St. Georges High School and will be attending the University of Delaware.
• Malori P. Hughes: the Ethel Gibson Horner scholarship. Malori is the granddaughter of Diane Benchoff Hughes (class of 1964). She graduated from Lake Forest High School and will be attending Coastal Carolina University.
• Faith L. Marvel: the Class of 1971 Golden Anniversary scholarship. Faith is the granddaughter of Barbara Foskey Murphy (class of 1970). She graduated from Greenwood Mennonite School and will be attending Delaware Technical Community College.
• Amiah G. Tucker: the Gene Carlisle scholarship, honoring the Class of 1968. Amiah is the granddaughter of Steve (class of 1967) and Brenda Smith Tallent (class of 1969). She graduated from Woodbridge High School and will be attending Delaware Technical Community College.
• Logan E. Watkins: In Memory of Bobby Dickerson (class of 1952) scholarship. Logan is the granddaughter of Larry and Vicki Woodall Cannon (both class of 1965). She graduated from Glen Allen High School and will be attending Roanoke College.
• Aaron S. Webster: in memory of Greenwood High School Alumni Past Presidents, David Leppo (class of 1953); Orville Hammond (class of 1957); and Duane Anthony (class of 1965).
