Dhawan joins TidalHealth Cardiology in Seaford

SEAFORD — Dr. Rajiv Dhawan is now offering services at TidalHealth Cardiology, specializing in interventional cardiology.

Dr. Dhawan received his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, and completed an internal medicine residency at Safdarjang Hospital, Dr. Ram Monahar Lohia Hospital and Patel Chest Institute, all also in New Delhi.

He did his postgraduate studies in internal medicine and cardiology in the Oxford Health Region and the Leeds Health Region, both in England. He completed a second internal medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Geisinger Health, Danville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Dhawan then completed an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at Lankenau Medical Center, Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.

The doctor is board-certified in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, echocardiography and vascular medicine. He is an affiliate to the American College of Cardiology and a diplomat to the American Board of Internal Medicine. Further, Dr. Dhawan is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom.

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Dhawan enjoys doing charity work in India, biking, playing squash, traveling and reading.
