The Dewey Beach Lions’ Outstanding Service Award was presented to Lion Ernie Felici Sr., left, by his son, King Lion Ernie Felici Jr., at a monthly meeting. Ernie Sr. continues to have a positive impact in the club and the community by handling its marketing. The Dewey Beach Lions support needy local families by constructing wheelchair ramps and providing loans of wheelchairs, eyeglasses, hearing aids and other ambulatory equipment. It also provides scholarships and contributes to many Sussex County nonprofits, plus owns and maintains the John Waples Memorial Playground in Dewey Beach. For information, visit dblions.org.
